Now that I have overcome my first big race, and have learned a great deal from it, I am looking at what my next race should be. I am not ready for the marathon distance just yet, but have been told there are some great half marathons and 10ks around too.
For the last few weeks I have been searching. I have been looking mostly within Utah and definitely at more exotic places, like the Bryce Canyon and Canyonlands races. If I’m going to run, I want to use it as an excuse to see some great scenery and new places.
So, now I turn this question out to you: what are the best shorter distance races you’ve competed in — both inside the state and nationwide, in cities and out in the country? And why did you enjoy them so much?
